Concept Note
India is in the transformative phase of Amrit Kaal, leading up to 2047. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has envisioned Viksit Bharat @ 2047 as a citizen-driven national mission grounded in good governance, cultural confidence, youth empowerment, and Jan Bhagidari. Aligned with this vision, Bharat Vimarsh is a nationwide campaign of the Divi Policy Forum and an initiative of the Divi Welfare Foundation. It provides a mass dialogue platform to engage citizens-especially youth—in shaping India’s future through structured discussions and consultations. Organised around three themes—Rashtra, Sanskriti, and Youth—Bharat Vimarsh facilitates comprehensive discussions on governance and social development, cultural values, youth leadership, economy, education, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, environment, national security, and all other key sectors relevant to Viksit Bharat @ 2047.

Affected by Substance Use

India is home to one of the largest youth populations in the world, with over 65% of its population below the age of 35. While this presents a demographic advantage, it also poses a serious challenge if youth fall into substance abuse and lack of awareness.

According to national studies, substance abuse is rising among young individuals due to peer pressure, stress, and lack of guidance. At the same time, gaps in education and awareness further increase vulnerability.

Key Insight

Prevention through awareness and education is the most effective way to combat drug abuse and secure the future of young India.
